چکیده
Abstract Coatings prepared from chromia-rich (Al,Cr) 2 O 3 solid solution (ss) feedstock powders are intended to improve the properties of Cr coatings, but rarely studied so far. In this work, processability a commercial powder containing 78 wt.% by atmospheric plasma spraying (APS), corresponding coating microstructures and were investigated. Possible further improvements expected blending with 2, 23 54 TiO x powder. For comparison, plain coatings as well. The analyzed using SEM, EDS XRD measurements. Hardness (HV0.3) was measured, well dry unidirectional sliding wear resistance abrasion (ASTM G65). Moreover, corrosion electrical insulating measured. ss showed only small change composition, formation ? -Al , found for alumina-rich powders, avoided. Compared chromia coating, some found. most balanced performance achieved both high resistance, in combination resistance.

متن کاملEffect of TiO2 addition on the microstructure and nanomechanical properties of Al2O3 Suspension Plasma Sprayed coatings
Alumina-titania coatings are widely used in industry for wear, abrasion or corrosion protection components. Such layers are commonly deposited by atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) using powder as feedstock. In this study, both Al2O3 and Al2O3-13 wt% TiO2 coatings were deposited on austenitic stainless steel coupons by suspension plasma spraying (SPS). Two commercial suspensions of nanosized Al2...

This study investigates the effect of carbide particle size on the microstructure, mechanical properties, and abrasive wear resistance of WC-17%Co HVOF-sprayed coatings. The characteristics of WC-1, WC-2, and WC-3 coatings with carbide sizes of 1 µm, 0.9 µm, and 0.5 µm, respectively, were also investigated. WC-1 coating experienced the maximum carbon loss of 42%, while WC-2 and WC-3 coatings un...
